Ascom D83 Talker: The telephone tool pushing the limits of robustness

Developed by Ascom , the D83 Talker is an ultra-rugged DECT cordless telephone , dedicated to professionals working in extreme environments. Easy to transport thanks to its compact size , this product has undergone a whole battery of tests in order to be certified according to the most demanding robustness standards . Certified according to the IP67 index , this telephone is fully protected against dust as well as temporary immersion (at a depth of 1 meter and for a maximum of 30 minutes), its reinforced coating allowing it to perfectly withstand temperature variations ,falls from a height of 2 meters as well as the multiple manipulations that it can undergo daily, for an improved longevity.

Encompassing a powerful 950mAh Li-Ion battery rechargeable using the Versatile Connector , this phone offers up to 120 hours of standby time , users being able to communicate for more than 10 consecutive hours , while enjoying a relatively fast recharge of their device, the latter needing only 4 hours to be charged to 100%.

A practical phone with improved features

Replacing the D81 model, the D83 Talker presented by Ascom redesigns professional wireless telephony using new generation technical components . Encompassing multiple keys with specific functions , this phone allows easy navigation between the menus, the three programmable keys allowing in particular the highlighting of favorite actions . Offering access to the history of the last 50 calls received, missed and dialed , this Ascom D83 solution includes three separate directories allowing the recording, in each category, of the contacts and numbers corresponding to the service concerned: the local directoryallowing the recording of up to 250 contacts , the corporate directory containing up to 1000 entries and the central directory authorizing the recording of an unlimited number of contacts .

While the 2.4'' TFT screen with color display offers, thanks to its resolution of 240 x 320 pixels , a clear display of essential information: name and number of the caller, battery status ,..., the Equipped LED indicator signals, using a multicolored indicator , all incoming events, namely: calls, messages , etc. Supporting the G.722.2 and G.726 audio codecs , this DECT telephone offers transmission clear and precise wideband audio of the spoken words, the loudspeaker and the two microphonesavailable performing a faithful broadcast, without noise pollution , thanks to the adaptive reduction system of background noise . Including more than 14 different ringtones , this phone can be used in hands-free mode thanks to the duplex speakerphone and the 3.5mm jack available, the vibrate mode ensuring that each user does not miss any important event, even while operating. in noisy environments.
