Do you have to use this with a dictaphone? Could it record with 3rd party apps like Glean or Caption.ed in an auditorium environment? Plugged directly into a laptop

This is a Olympus accesory, we are not able to confirm if it will work correctly on other devices. If you need something for your computer, perhaps a USB mic will suit best.
