Coverage/Range

The maximum range is obtained during open space, but it depends on the terrain condition. Environmental factors such as blockage caused by buildings, trees or other obstructions are the only limitation to maximum possible range.
The range can be reduced inside metallic constructions or cars. The coverage in the city is normally about 1 or 2 km with buildings or other constructions.
The maximum possible range in open spaces with obstructions like trees, leaves and houses is about 4-6km.
The coverage can be more than 12km in open spaces, without obstructions in sight.

Squelch

The squelch function allows you to receive even weak signals, by suppressing the noises on free channels. The BR02 has 10 different squelch levels that can be set by the programming software: 0 means that the Squelch is turned off, different levels of noise reduction will have Squelch levels from 1-9. The higher the level the louder the Squelch will be. The BR02 has a Squelch level of 4 by default.

Battery

BR02 is equipped for using a 3,7V Li-ion rechargeable battery pack which can be recharged connecting the socket of the AC/DC wall adaptor to a main power socket. The battery power saving feature reduces consumption to up to 50%.
