Complete pack of rugged walkie talkies with accessories + 2 earphones JD1202KW
Kenwood UBZ-LJ9SET: lightweight and rugged
The new solution in Kenwood's range of walkie talkies is a set of two ergonomic walkie talkies that allow users to communicate easily and efficiently on a daily basis. The products are classified as licence-free systems and operate on the PMR446 frequency band, allowing unlimited free conversation without the need for a subscription.
Designed to provide perfect support for everyday use, each Kenwood UBZ-LJ9SET walkie talkie includes an 1150 mAh lithium-ion battery for up to 18 hours of trouble-free communication. Flexible, they can be recharged on various media thanks to their USB-C port: on the network, on a PC or even in the car thanks to the included USB cable.
What is the scanning function and the VOX function?
The VOX function activated gives you the possibility of communicating without any physical manipulation of the walkie-talkie, as the transmission is activated by the sound of your voice. This function allows the user to speak directly into the handset without the need to press a transmission button. The operation of the VOX function is based on a voice sensor embedded in the walkie talkie, which detects the presence of sound in the environment and automatically activates voice transmission. In this way, the user can keep his hands free for other activities while communicating with other users.
The VOX function can be especially useful in situations where it is difficult or impossible to press a transmission button, such as when wearing gloves or when the hands are busy with other tasks.

Yes, technically they can be used while driving but is not something we suggest you do, mainly because probably is not that safe, similar to using your mobile phone while driving. Please also note that they are license free radios and they have limited range, so if you want to talk to other cars on the road they need to be within coverage. Also something that is recommended while being used in cars is to keep a window slightly down so the signal can get out of the car.
