The Motorola XTN420 is a professional free-use walkie-talkie with IP55 certified metal casing, which means it is dust and water- splash resistant. It has a range of up to 5/9 km depending on environmental conditions and is extremely shock resistant. It is fully compatible with other PMR446 free-use walkie-talkies.

Good walkie talkie. Solid, very easy to use. Well finished. Effective range of about 7km on completely open flat ground or from one summit to another at altitude. 2 to 3 km in mountainous areas from the valley floor to the summit. 1 km, often much less in the forest. 3 to 5 floors in a building. 1 to 2 km in the city, sometimes less. 2 to 5 km between two vehicles on the highway at 110km/h depending on the environment. Sufficient for leisure use.
