This is a question more for BT, it will depend on the kind of hardware they install. If the new router has an analogue phone port then "old" analogue phones will still continue to work. But if they dont have a router that has an analogue port then you'll be "forced" to switch to an internet (VoIP) phone and analogue phones will no longer work.
