When we want to buy a webcam, a screen, a smartphone or even a monitor, we always talk about the same thing: resolution. But what exactly is resolution? We understand that it has something to do with the image, but what exactly does it mean in detail?
Well, long story short, resolution (of a webcam, display, etc.) is literally the image quality that the product offers. To be more precise, it is measured in pixels wide by pixels high (the famous 1920x1080px that you see everywhere).
Now that we've clarified the concept of resolution, we can get to work! Definition, pros and cons: We go over Full HD and 4K resolutions in depth so you (really) understand how they are different.
Not so fast! Don't have time or simply don't feel like reading the entire comparison? We have thought of you and have put together all the essential information in a summary table that you can access right here:

Full HD resolution:
Yes, we already know that Full HD resolution is something like a revised version of traditional HD resolution. Full HD resolution refers to a pixel count of 1920 x 1080 (which is the resolution still found on many digital cameras), compared to 1280 x 720 for conventional HD.

4K resolution:
In short, 4K resolution is the ultimate in image quality! Compared to Full HD, 4K is more than double! Increasingly present in new electronic and digital models, it is, in a way, the successor to Full HD. Also called Ultra HD ( UHD ), it corresponds to a much higher number of pixels of at least 3840 × 2160 ( which promises very detailed images ).
