Motorola recently announced the cancellation of MOTOTRBO DP4000e series and its replacement by MOTOTRBO R7 series.
However, the two-way radio industry continues to grow, and the replacement range is now available - MOTOTRBO R7: the latest evolution of the digital two-way radio.
There are 3 versions with different optional features and with screen and keypad variations.
On the R7 series, the LED indicator light is located around the front of the device. This small change makes it much easier to see the status of the radio when looking at it from any angle.
IP rating
The R7 series is IP66 and IP68 rated.
Screen
The DP series has a 1.8-inch screen and the R7 series device has a 2.4-inch screen, which allows information to be more visible.
Emergency button
The button on the R7 device is noticeably larger. The bigger the button, the easier it is to press it, especially if you are wearing gloves.
Microphones
Front and rear microphones for exceptional noise cancellation.
Size
The R7 is noticeably rounder and thinner, which is much easier to hold with one hand.
