The MED-certified Entel HT649 is one of the most advanced GMDSS radios on the market, with a high visibility LCD display, 7 button keypad and IP68 rating (submersible to 5m for 1 hour), and conforms with the Pan European ETS300-225 specification for the use of radios for safety at sea. This radio has been built to rely on in even the most hostile marine environments with MIL-STD 810C/D/E/F certification for resistance to shock, vibration and moisture and with the latest noise cancelling technology, delivers crisp audio in any environment.

This radio comes with advanced Li-Ion battery technology. The intelligent batteries count the number of completed charges, alert users to the imminent end of battery life, and the elimination of the memory effect means that you don't have to worry about running the batteries completely dry before recharging.

The large LCD display shows information such as channel names, battery charge count, signal strength, etc., while a 7-button keypad provides direct access to functions. This radio comes with 19 channels which can be any combination of INT, USA, CAN or private channels.

With VOX, you can use this radio hands free with an ear piece, which can be connected to the radio via its especially designed robust accessory socket. This waterproof socket can withstand any amount of rough use and features a securing bolt to protect the connector.
