You can connect any type of analogue phone to it, corded or cordless. You can connect the base of your cordless phone to it and then have an additional handset on a different floor/location.

HT801 - Will it function like a conventional analogue port Grandstream analogue phone converter, is the one port HT801 what Gigaclear provide? Can this one port be used exactly like the port provided from an analogue phone provider. That is to connect 1 or more phones and answering machine etc.?

This adaptor will convert a VoIP line into analogue so you can use legacy devices, the HT802 has 2 analogue ports. You need to check with your VoIP provider to make sure they will do the configuration for you.
