Let's find out everything you need to know to get started with Zoom:
1. Download the desktop app (Windows, macOS, Linux), or the mobile app (Google Play Store, App Store), or use the Zoom.us website
2. Sign in with your Zoom username and password.
Don't have an account? No problem. On the Zoom home page, enter your professional email address and choose a password to confirm your registration.
1. Go to the "Chat" tab to get an overview of all your conversations.
2. To create a new chat or channel, or join an existing one, click the "+" button next to "Recent" (it's that simple).
1. Click "Screen Sharing" in the bottom menu to start screen mirroring.
2. To stop sharing, simply press the red "Stop sharing" button.»
Did you know? You can pause screen sharing. How to do it? Simply click "Pause Sharing." Practical, right?
1. On your computer:
- Go to "Settings" and then "Preferences"
- Select "Backgrounds & Filters" and "Virtual Backgrounds"
- Choose from preloaded images or press "+" to import your own image
2. On your mobile:
- Join a meeting (here we show you how to do it)
- Press the 3 dots "..." at the bottom of the screen and go to "More".
- Select "Virtual Background" and choose the template you want to use.
In the mobile version, this option is only available during meetings.
1. Go to "Calendar" to view your scheduled meetings or schedule a new one.
2. Create an instant meeting:
- Click "New Meeting" to start an instant meeting.
- Add participants through your contact list (and you're done!)
3. Schedule a meeting:
- On the "Home" tab, click "Schedule a new meeting".
- Enter the subject, date and time and click "Save".
- Send the invitation to the participants you want to invite.
4. Create recurring meetings:
- Follow the same procedure as to schedule a meeting
- Press the "Repeat" option to define a frequency.
Pro Tip : Easily access your meetings by syncing calendars. It's easy to activate: Settings - Meetings - Synchronized calendars - Activate!
1. Open the Zoom app or go to the Zoom.us website
2. Go to the “Meetings” tab.
3. Under "Upcoming Meetings," select the meeting and click "Start . "
4. Check the audio and video settings and click "Join" .
1. On your computer:
- During the meeting, click on the 3 dots "..."
- Go to "Account Settings" and then "Meeting Settings".
- Navigate to the Recording tab and press the button to activate it.
2. On mobile:
- Join or start a meeting
- Press the menu in the three-dot menu in the lower right corner
- Press the "Record" button
- At the end of the call, go to the "My recordings" section to find the catch.
NB : Mobile recording is only available in the cloud! So you need to be a paid Zoom member to use this feature.
